St Albans based Black Box Theatre was founded in 2016 by Emily Carhart, Freya Mitchell and Amber Williams with a view to creating theatre that challenged both traditional casting and traditional use of performance space. Working with everything from Shakespeare to new writing to devising, our productions are authentic, atmospheric and exceptionally engaging. We also pride ourselves on giving opportunities to people in the early stages of their artistic careers, whether that's that's acting, producing, directing or the technical aspects of theatre. We are always happy to hear from people looking to get involved.
