Black Box Theatre Founders

Black Box Theatre is a St Albans-based fringe theatre company, founded in 2016 by Emily Carhart, Freya Mitchell and Amber Williams with a view to creating theatre that challenged both traditional casting and traditional use of performance space. Working with everything from contemporary scripts to original verbatim theatre, to our current Shakespearean project, our productions are authentic, atmospheric and exceptionally engaging. Black Box regularly collaborate with a variety of actors and we are dedicated to making sure that every experience working with us is a positive one; as such are signed up to the Actors Fringe Charter and adhere to all standards within. We pride ourselves on giving opportunities to people in the early stages of their artistic careers, whether that's that's acting, producing, directing or the technical aspects of theatre. We are always happy to hear from people looking to get involved.
